The current (v1.8) set of KO characters with shadows and everything. This is exactly how the characters look in game as these shots were taken ingame and haven't been edited since.

The current (as of v1.8) set of KO maps. This isn't the entire set of maps, but its the best ones and gives you a good overview of what they are like. As with the characters these screenshots were taken ingame and haven't been edited since (except to resize them small).

All new spawn highlights! Even though its now due in less that 12 hours I'm still finding things to add. I'm currently trying to comment the thing and once every 10 mins I'll find something to add or fix. Its actually working out very nicely as i'm getting rid of alot of "legacy code" that I used for a while but decided to discard for something better. My line count is actually decresing despite the fact I keep adding stuff because i'm deleting even more old stuff i don't need. ANYWAY, spawn highlights are those white starts and they spin round so it kind looks like an atom thing - pretty funky when animated, but rather poor in still (note: on my home comp so no shadows because they chugg this beast!)

The new options in-game menu. When showing all changes happen instantly so you can see the results which is pretty sweet. Also does all the usual stuff of resizing to the window size and scrolling up/down when needed.

This is "level debug" mode in the early stages. At this point there was a bug and the output you see saying "Total Faces" is actually output the address of the int that holds the number rather than the number itself. So there isn't 43 million faces in this map fear not and it has been fixed! (There is 3040 faces in that level to be precise)

The new skybox with a great city scape. Probably a little dark the i would've liked for the KO theme but seeing as good skyboxs are very hard to come by i think i'll stick with it! You can also see the light without lens flares here - its my infinite lightbulb that extends to infinity from nowhere and all lighting calculations are done off it.

No shadows but the item highlights (blue spheres around the items) can be clearly seen. The textures on them is animated so it looks pretty cool.

Shadows add so much to a game! (Note the framerate is 4fps because i was taking the screencap ... this bug has been fixed so even when doing a screencap the real framerate is shown).

Befor I had item highlights - I'm a big fan of the pics above with the glowing spheres - makes it so much easier to see!

This is the waves map - and yes its animated like a ripple - its damn fun to play but a very high kill count as the map keeps pushing you off.

The bubbler in action. Its basically just a machine gun and only good for spam purposes but if you get a stream dead on its really hard to avoid being pushed back and the best you can hope for is a friendly wall to save you (which player 1 in this case does not have).

The first ever image output from KO. True is completely buggered, but you can definatly make out that its KO underneath all that noise. The shot below was a print screen - while this was actualy written out manually myself. The rest of the screenshots above are all done useing my own screenshot feature.

This screenshot is the only shot of my original models. People complained that it was too hard to tell which way they were facing so I created the new ones - infact I don't even have these models anymore so they are lost forever (but they were crap so its a good ridance!). The hud had a different layout, and there were no items or powerups, and only 2 guns in this version but you could play and fight pretty much identically to the current version (you just started with every weapon and infinite ammo).
